The game awards show just ended a couple of minutes ago and during the show Paramount Pictures announced and showed the first official trailer for the upcoming Sonic 2 movie.
The trailer shows that sometime after the first movie, sonic has started to stop crimes and act as a sort of vigilante, he calls himself the “blue justice”, we then see a huge tornado with sort of what looks like a green lighting that we later see is coming from the famous “Chaos Emeralds” from the games, we then see Jim Carrey as the insane role of Doctor Robotnik with a bunch of new machines and like I mentioned before, a chaos emerald. After that we see Tales arrives and we see him and Sonic having a conversation on the famous plane Tales uses in the games while they are flying to the Hurricane, after that there are some action scenes and funny moments but then at the end of the trailer we see Sonic fighting Knuckles as a surprise at the end.
Overall the trailer looks very promising, I am very excited for this movie, the first one was a very enjoyable movie with a lot of great humor and some fun action scenes so I have a good feeling about this one.
Sonic 2 comes out to cinemas on April 8th, 2022.
